Hicks to take charge of England’s game with Australia

English referee Robert Hicks will be the man in the middle for England’s must-win match against Australia on Sunday.

The decision was made by a three-person panel consisting of RFL Head of Match Officials, Steve Ganson, the NRL’s General Manager Officiating Tony Archer and Luke Watts, New Zealand RL’s National Referee Development officer.

The panel allocated officials based on merit in their previous performances, with Hicks getting the nod after his performance in England’s defeat to New Zealand.

Ben Cummins, who officiated the game between Australia and New Zealand, will take charge of the game between Scotland and the Kiwis.
