Huddersfield Giants have confirmed that forward Larne Patrick is set to re-join the club in 2016 after his spell out on loan at Wigan.
The 26-year-old Wales international will rejoin the Giants at the end of the year after spending this season on loan to the Warriors as part of the deal that took second rower Jack Hughes to the John Smith’s Stadium.
Hughes, an ever-present during his loan spell, has signed for Warrington Wolves for 2016 and Patrick, who made 135 appearances in his first stint with the Giants, will help fill the void.
“He’s been to a different environment and learned some different things and hopefully he can bring that experience back with him,” said Huddersfield assistant coach Kieron Purtill.
“He will add another dimension again to our squad next year. Obviously we’re losing Jack Hughes but we’ve got some good people coming in and Larne will complement them.”
