Hull KR have sacked their head coach Craig Sandercock. The Robins have won just 7 of their 19 games this season, and sit three points outside of the top eight, with the race for the top eight heating up.
The club and Sandercock had been in talks over a new deal for a lengthy period now, but with the Hull Daily Mail reporting those talks had reached an impasse, it is believed the club and the Australian have parted ways.
Assistant coach Chris Chester will now take place ahead of Sunday’s visit of table-topping St Helens, with a win vital for their chances of making the play-offs in 2014.
