Hull KR set for three trips out of the UK in early 2026 as Willie Peters explains the “challenges” of Las Vegas, Amsterdam and Tenerife

HULL KR will be heading out of the country three times in early 2026 as head coach Willie Peters reflects on the club’s “exciting” decision to head for Las Vegas.

Rovers will form part of the Sin City extravaganza in 2026 along with Super League rivals Leeds Rhinos.

But, the East Yorkshire club will also be heading to Amsterdam for their ‘Challenge’ – which saw Rovers take on York Knights earlier this year – and to Tenerife as part of a warm weather training camp before the start of the 2026 campaign.

For Rovers boss Peters, the decision to head to Las Vegas epitomises just how far the club has come during his time at Craven Park.

“It’s really exciting for the club, it shows how far the club has come on and off the field to be a part of Vegas 2026,” Peters said.

“It’s going to be a huge occasion for the club. We are not only representing KR but we are also representing Super League and the rugby league community over here.

“What comes with that is a lot of responsibility to uphold the highest of standards. A lot of hard work has gone into the club over the last few years.

“We have stepped things up on and off the field and this is another step forward to show how far we have come.”

Peters did admit that the trip to Las Vegas has its “challenges”.

“For a coach, it has its challenges. It’s not your normal week of a game and there are a lot of distractions.

“It will test the culture but I like to think we have a strong culture and leaders who can handle the week accordingly but you will never say no to a chance like this.”

As well as the trip to Las Vegas, Rovers will also be partaking in the ‘Amsterdam Challenge’ once more in 2026, as well as flying to Tenerife for a pre-season training camp.

“As far as I’m aware, the Amsterdam trip will continue so we will have a busy start to the year.

“Amsterdam was a success this year for the club and the club wants to do it again. As far as I know it is still happening.

“We’re going to have a big campaign there’s no doubt about that. We’ve got Tenerife as well for a pre-season camp.

“You want to be in these positions and it’s a privilege to be in these positions. In an ideal world as well we would love to be playing in the World Club Challenge.

“There’s a lot that will be going on. The definites are Tenerife, Amsterdam and Las Vegas.”
