Hull FC have confirmed that winger Tom Lineham broke his ankle in Friday’s 44-16 win over Bradford Bulls.
The 21-year-old, who was named in the 2013 Super League Dream Team thanks to 14 tries in 21 appearances, was struck down in the final minute of the clash at the KC Stadium. X-rays showed a fracture to his right ankle, and he will undergo surgery this week.
The former York City Knights player took to Twitter to confirm the injury: “Thanks for all the kind messages, very touching. Fans, players and staff been wonderful, devastated to say broken my leg. Tough times!”
