Castleford Tigers prop Lee Jewitt has said he’s determined to repay both the Tigers and the club’s fans for the support they gave him during a particularly tough time for him and his family last year.
Jewitt didn’t play in the last four months of last season after his baby twins were born 14 weeks prematurely, leaving them fighting for their lives.
But thankfully they are both doing a lot better now, and Jewitt admits that his focus is to pay people back for the way they rallied around his family at such a difficult time in his life.
“The support from everyone was unbelievable and we appreciated all the good wishes and support from the fans and people at the club,” he said.
“I just want to repay this club and the fans. They have stood by me through a lot and have been great with me.
“For me my aim is to have a good season in 2016 and repay everyone for their support.”
