Keighley Cougars player-coach Paul March has lost his appeal against a four-match ban imposed by the RFL, and will now be forced to serve the suspension in full.
March suffered the ban after an incident during Keighley’s Kingstone Press Championship fixture against Doncaster, in which he was deemed to have questioned the integrity of an official.
He pleaded not guilty at the initial hearing – and did so again on appeal – but the RFL have upheld the sanctioning, meaning March will miss four Cougars fixtures, as well as recieve a £100 fine.
The Cougars boss has already served one game of that ban – as he missed last weekend’s game against Leigh Centurions. He will also now be ruled out of the Challenge Cup tie against Wath Brow this Saturday, as well as Championship clashes against Workington and Sheffield.
