KR’s injury woe increases

If defeat to Wakefield wasn’t bad enough for Hull KR at the weekend, additional injuries have added to a miserable weekend for Hull KR.

With the likes of Shaun Lunt, Kevin Larroyer and Terry Campese already injured, Chris Chester has reported four additional injuries after their most recent defeat.

Liam Salter, Ben Cockayne, Albert Kelly and Chris Clarkson all sustained injuries at the weekend with Salter’s injury an aggravation of a previous injury suffered last year.

“Benny’s done a rib, he did it last weekend and played with injections today, but we knew he wouldn’t get through the full game,” Chester told the Hull Daily Mail.

“I’m not sure about Albert Kelly yet, but Liam Salter has re-hurt his shoulder again in that second half. We’ll have a look at him this week.

“We’ve got Ben with his rib, and then Chris Clarkson came off with his arm, so we’re doing it tough at the moment with injuries.”

Rovers are still without a win this season and are ninth in the table following an opening round draw with Castleford
