Leigh Centurions continue to strengthen with James Green signing

Leigh Centurions have confirmed the signing of James Green from Hull KR on a two-year contract until the end of November 2018.

With dual registration experience at four clubs, Workington Town, Batley Bulldogs, Gateshead Thunder and Featherstone Rovers earlier in his career Hull born Green, 25, has already made over one hundred senior appearances since his Hull KR debut in 2012.

Leigh Centurions head coach Neil Jukes said: “James has played a lot of senior games already and has age on his side. He’s ready to stamp his authority within our playing group.

“It is important that we continue to sign young British players who we can not only develop for the here and now but for the years ahead. James is a good, young middle player and as a coaching staff we look forward to working with him and enhancing him even further.

“He is really looking forward to joining the club and has shown his commitment by moving over here so travelling won’t be an issue. We are improving standards on and off the field as we prepare for Super League and James is ready for a whole new challenge.”
