London Skolars head coach Joe Mbu has reported that winger Smokie Junor is back in training after his horrific pre-season injury.
Junor suffered a broken femur in Skolars’ Capital Challenge encounter against Wigan Warriors.
“Smokie is always fighting strong and he’s been working with someone one-on-one with his rehab,” reported Mbu.
“This week was the first time he was able to run, although he was in the gym four weeks after his injury and that shows his determination.
“The doctors said it would take up to four months before he could train and he’s made it in three.
“He’s looking well. He’s wanting to be fit for the end of the season, but I’d be happy for him to be ready for pre-season training for next season.”
