Lowes rages at “terrible” Bradford Bulls performance

Bradford Bulls head coach James Lowes ripped into his side’s performance following their shock league defeat to Featherstone and admitted they were “terrible”.

The Bulls remain top of the Championship, but they are just two points clear of Leigh Centurions having played two games more following the 37-18 loss to Featherstone.

And Lowes refused to hold back when asked for his reaction to his team’s performance, saying: “We were just poor in every aspect of that game. We planned to play a certain way and we never did it right from the first set – we were terrible.

“They played with a lot more energy than us; we handed them way too much easy ball, penalties and metres.

“There’s no excuses; what you need to do with games like this and periods like this is start well, and we failed to do that. We gifted them field position.”

Lowes however, insisted he would not panic despite the defeat.

“I’m not going to panic and go out and buy people for the sake of it. Some people seem like they are panicking but we’re not panicking; we know what we’re capable of.”
