Luke Walsh out for the season with broken leg

St Helens playmaker Luke Walsh is out for the rest of the season after breaking a bone in his lower leg.

The Australian, 27, is set for five months on the sidelines.

“He’s basically snapped his fibula.” said coach Nathan Brown.

“He’s had surgery with the plate and bolts and all the type of things that go in and he’ll be four or five months.

“It was as good a result as you could expect. It could have been worse.”
