In a nutshell
London were consigned to their seventh consecutive defeat of the season, as the Castleford Tigers quickly bounced back to winning ways with a thumping win at The Hive.
How it unfolded
First half: Two early tries put the visitors into an early lead, grabbing control of the encounter early on. The first came from a former London man, as Michael Channing grabbed the opening score of the night. That was quickly followed up by a score from Oliver Holmes, with both converted by the returning Jamie Ellis. Michael Shenton then jumped highest to claim a towering kick to make it 18-0.
Atelea Vea was then sin-binned for a professional foul to make the Broncos’ problems even worse. And that man advantage was pounced upon when Liam Finn touched down – after much deliberation from the video referee. At 24-0, the Broncos were bang up against it.
Second half: The Tigers procession continued in the second period, as an early Craig Huby try stretched the lead to 30. Justin Carney then registered his obligatory try as the riot continued, before Luke Dorn scored against his former club. Michael Shenton was next to score before Carney secured his second of the night to see London concede 50 again. A late London score was scant consolation, as it finished 54-6 to the Tigers.
