Moimoi back at Town

Workington Town have welcomed former Tongan and New Zealand prop Fuifui Moimoi back to Derwent Park, after the 40 year-old re-signed with the club for another year.
The pack star has spent most of the pre-season in America with his children while awaiting his visa to allow him to return to the UK.
He landed on British soil over the weekend and could be given his first run-out of the season against West Bowling in the Challenge Cup on Sunday.
“I’ve know Fui for a long time, so it’s great to get him back involved at the club,” said Thorman.
He knows what we expect for him and it was important for me that we got him back. My pack all complement each other and Fui is another addition to that. He’s a different type of player, and we all know how capable he is with the ball in hand.
“It was an important one for the fans as well, because he’s very well liked around the community.
“He will more than likely play at the weekend. But everyone else has trained really well and there isn’t really a pecking order here, so I’ll pick the team on form and on who’s had the best pre-season.
“Fui knows that, and understands that he has to come in, hit the ground running and not miss a beat. He’s got to train hard straight away.”
Thorman also confirmed that triallists Ethan Bickerdike, Zak Steele and Billy Thompson did enough in the final pre-season game against Barrow to earn themselves contracts for the season.
“I’d like to think they’ll be in our squad for years to come,” added Thorman.
