Dewsbury Rams coach Glenn Morrison has admitted that if given consent by his current employers, he’d be interested in sitting down and discussing the possibility of becoming the next Bradford Bulls coach.
Morrison’s former club parted company with James Lowes on Tuesday, with the former Bulls forward immediately placed as the favourite by most bookmakers for the job after playing at Odsal earlier in his career.
Morrison stressed to the Telegraph and Argus that it would be down to whether the Rams gave him permission to speak to the Bulls, but said that he would be “silly” to not speak to them if the opportunity arose.
“I have the utmost respect for Jimmy and indeed any outgoing coach, but if the Bulls were interested in speaking to me and Dewsbury agreed to that, then of course I would be silly not to sit down and have a chat with them,” he said.
Morrison also described the Bulls as a club he has a lot of fondness for, saying: “I love Bradford because it’s a club that is close to my heart and I always want to see them do well.
“As a player, I wanted to play at the highest level and I’m no different as a coach. It would be a great opportunity for any coach.”
