No Sandow for Warrington in 2015

Warrington Wolves will not be getting their hands on Chris Sandow this season.

The Wolves have been heavily linked with a move for the Australian half-back, with reports initially suggesting Warrington wanted to bring him in for this season as well as for the coming years.  But Parramatta boss Brad Arthur has said that the club are not releasing Sandow midway through the season, which means that any chance of him coming to Super League this year must appear to be off the table.

“It is hard to release any player at this time of the year,” Arthur told the Sydney Morning Herald.  “I have to do what’s best for this team and this club,  and that is to keep our squad intact and moving forward.  We can’t afford to be paying players to play at other clubs.

“His (Sandow’s) attitude is good; he trains well and has been playing well.  He’s a competitor.

“I am sure he doesn’t want to let his team-mates down, and I am sure he will have that attitude on Friday night.”
