One outing in Wales for Catalans youngsters

Catalans Dragons’ Under 16s tour of Wales has been reduced to just the one game – a one off encounter against Wales Under 16s at Stebonheath Park in Llanelli this Sunday writes Ian Golden.

With this year’s international Under 16s programme being larger than usual, a fixture between Catalans and a select side was something that could not be missed and when the French offered the challenge to the Welsh staff, the management team and players jumped at the opportunity to test themselves against a Super League outfit.

This should be a highly entertaining game as both the Welsh and the French play with style and flare.

The fixture on Sunday will kick off at 10:15am at Stebonheath Park, Llanelli; admission is £4 adults and £2 children.

The proposed first game, which was to be played in Caerphilly on Thursday, will now no longer take place.
