Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane believes both his side and tomorrow’s opponents Castleford could be sat with three wins out of three, despite posting just one win between them so far this season.
Whilst the Tigers have lost all three of their games in 2015, albeit by a combined margin of just ten points, the Warriors have only won once themselves, with a draw against Widnes and a defeat to Hull KR meaning they sit on three points in the early standings.
But Wane thinks that could have easily been different, and has predicted another tough night at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle against a Cas side still seeking their first points of Super League XX.
“My opinion of Cas is they’ve not been far off,” he told the Warriors’ official website.
“Very similar to us, they could have won all three games. They’ve been in every game and have been unlucky to lose.
“They get to the end of sets and their completions are high and they defend in a good manner so I’m expecting a real tough game. The fans are on everybody’s backs there so it’s a tough place to get a win but we’ve done it in the past and hopefully we can do it again.”
