Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McDermott believes his side must start well tonight against Hull FC if they are to come away with a fourth straight win to start Super League XX.
The Rhinos chief is fully aware of a strong start from Hull causing his team plenty of problems, and he told the Yorkshire Evening post that it’s vital Leeds come out of the traps flying to ensure they pick up another two points.
He also admitted that Leeds are yet to string a full game together yet, despite wins against Hull KR, Widnes and Huddersfield so far this season.
“I don’t think we’ve been great throughout the whole game yet, in any of the three games we’ve played,” McDermott said.
“We’ve had spells when we’ve been very, very good and then we’ve had spells when we’ve had a lot of things to work on. We certainly need to be big to start with and we need to be switched on because Hull are going to throw everything at us in the early exchanges.”
