There is a growing appetite among clubs outside of Super League to seriously consider the prospect of further changes to the Championship structure as early as next season.
Discussions among leading lower-league clubs have already taken place – and are being driven by one Championship owner in particular – with a feeling that the sport needs to be ready for the next broadcast deal, with the current arrangement set to expire at the end of the 2021 campaign.
