Hull FC coach Lee Radford says he is “over the moon” with the squad he has assembled for 2015, but hasn’t ruled out making another signing before the start of the season.
The Airlie Birds have so far secured five new players for next year – Marc Sneyd (Castleford Tigers), Leon Pryce (Catalans Dragons), Curtis Naughton (Sydney Roosters), Mark Minichiello and Steve Michaels (both Gold Coast Titans) – and Radford believes his side are in a very strong position.
“I’m really happy with what we have got compared to 12 months ago,” Radford told the Hull Daily Mail.
“If we start the season with the squad as it is now I will be over the moon, but if we can get one more player through the door too, that would be great.
“We are still in the market, we are looking and it has to be someone who is good off the field as well as on it, it has to be the right person.
“If we get that person, it is a bonus. But we’ll see, I’m very happy with the business we have done.
“We’ve got more senior players this year, we’ve got more quality in the team and added some good young players too.
“When we look down at the squad we feel we have improved it in the key areas we needed to, so we are very happy with what we’ve got.”
