An improved performance wasn’t enough as Catalans Dragons piled more misery on bottom of the table Leeds Rhinos at Headingley.
Catalans had a 10 point lead at the break but couldn’t push on from that as a Josh Walters try, coupled with Brett Ferres’ first half effort, brought Leeds to within a try of the visitors going into the final 10 minutes.
Leeds pushed for a leveller but Eloi Pelissier scored a fourth try for the Dragons on the hooter to break Rhinos hearts and to keep the Frenchman within a win of top of the table Hull FC.
Justin Horo, Fouad Yaha and Jason Baitieri had scored the earlier tries for Catalans as the Dragons’ impressive campaign continued.
