ROCHDALE HORNETS chairman Andy Mazey says he is as “motivated and enthusiastic” as he’s ever been.
Mazey has been at the helm for five years and has overseen a number of on-field and off-field changes – and now he wants to expand the board.
“Time flies. I’ve been at Rochdale for five years now but I am as motivated and enthusiastic as I’ve ever been about this great club,” he said.
“I’m sorry to disappoint those who thought I’d either be gone by now, or have renamed the club Manchester Hornets.
“There have been several significant shareholding and board changes over the past twelve months or so.
“Only Paul Ormerod and I now remain from the original consortium that took over the club in 2019-20.
“All funds generated from recent share transactions have gone directly into the club’s coffers.
“This has enabled the club to benefit from new investment from Carl Halstead, Britannia Metals, Paul Ormerod and myself.”
