Widnes Vikings centre Charly Runciman has been granted his visa ahead of his move to the club, and will head to the United Kingdom ahead of the Super 8s.
Widnes announced they had signed Runciman from NRL side St George-Illawarra Dragons last week, and chief executive James Rules has now revealed that he will be here in plenty of time ahead of their first Super 8s game in two weeks.
“It is fabulous news that Charly has secured his visa so quickly and that he is able to join his Widnes Vikings teammates next week,” Rule said.
“This will give him plenty of time to acclimatise to the new time zone and to settle into to his new environment at the Vikings ahead of the Super 8s Qualifiers. I am sure his arrival will give our players and supporters a huge boost ahead of the next exciting chapter of the season.”
