Salford will not be dropping the Red Devils franchise.
Owner Marwan Koukash confirmed on Wednesday evening they had decided not to change the club name after carefully considering a re-brand.
The club conducted market research earlier in the year to derive further information from the club’s supporters to help deliver a brighter future for the club.
However, that future will involve the Red Devils moniker, after Koukash tweeted the news.
The name of club will remain ‘Salford Red Devils’ and a brand new crest will soon be unveiled. #ForeverSalfordian

Koukash also confirmed that a new crest will be released which will include the word “Salford”.
The club’s current logo controversially dropped the town from its design, simply reading Red Devils.
However, that will change next year as the club continues its efforts to attract bigger crowds.
