Samoa player cleared to play in RLWC2013 quarter-final

An International Appeals Tribunal has lifted the one-match suspension handed down to Samoa player Sauaso Sue for tripping in the 58th minute of a Rugby League World Cup 2013 fixture against France on Monday.
Sue was successful in his appeal after the Tribunal ruled that whilst he did make contact with French player William Barthau’s leg, there was uncertainty as to whether it was deliberate or intentional.
The decision means Sue is available for selection by Samoa for their RLWC2013 quarter-final against Fiji at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington, on Sunday.
Samoa player Leeson Ah Mau failed in his appeal against the one-match suspension imposed for a Grade A shoulder charge on William Barthau in the 13th minute of the same fixture.
The decision means Ah Mau will miss Sunday’s quarter-final.
