Sandow set for Warington return

Chris Sandow is set to make his injury comeback when Warrington play Leeds on Friday.

The exciting halfback has been out for eight weeks with a groin problem, in which time Warrington have lost four of six Super League games and lost their spot at the top of Super League.

However, Tony Smith confirmed on Saturday that the 27-year-old was nearing his return from injury and could feature against Super League’s bottom side.

The news will come as a big boost to Smith and the Wolves, who have at times missed his spark since leaving the field against Wigan during the Easter period.

Warrington are now second in Super League, two points behind league leaders Hull FC.
