Wigan Warriors captain Sean O’Loughlin is hoping to return from injury in time for Thursday’s televised clash with Salford Red Devils.

The England international hasn’t featured since his side’s victory over Bradford Bulls on Easter Monday, but believes lining up against the Red Devils is a realistic prospect.

“Magic Weekend was too soon for me, unfortunately. I’ve just got a bit of an adductor groin injury that I picked up around the time of the Leeds game a few weeks ago,” O’Loughlin told League Express.

“I’m hoping to be back for the clash against Salford; I’d have loved to be part of Magic Weekend but it wasn’t to be. However, I’m pretty sure I’ll be playing against Salford.”
