O’Loughlin: I don’t know why we only play well in spells

England loose forward Sean O’Loughlin says he does not understand why his side only manage to play well in spells.

Speaking after England’s comfortable yet sloppy 34-6 win over France in Wigan on Saturday, the 30-year-old said: “I can’t put my finger on it.

“It’s something we are going to have to get better at. If we perform like that and cough up the ball against New Zealand, we’ll get more points put on us with the dangerous players they have.

“We’ll be underdogs but the added pressure should bring the best out of us,” he added.
