John Whaling, the Sheffield Eagles CEO, has resigned.
Whaling has spearheaded efforts to save the club throughout their recent troubles but has departed following a board meeting on Tuesday.
Tweeting from his own account, Whaling cited 'a difference of opinion' as the reason behind his departure.
