RFL referee Richard Silverwood is set to face an employment tribunal, according to reports.
The RFL, according to PA Sport, have completed an investigation into an incident involving Silverwood, who has not refereed a game since Magic Weekend earlier this year.
The game’s governing body have not said why Silverwood has been suspended, but they have now completed an investigation and it is understood the referee will appear in front of a tribunal this month (July).
In 2011, Silverwood was dropped following an off-field incident at a match between Huddersfield and Leeds and in 2009 he was suspended for what the RFL described as an alleged breach of its information technology policy.
