Warrington boss Tony Smith believes Kevin Sinfield’s two-match ban for a headbutt on Luke Dorn a fortnight ago was the right decision and insists he’s glad it didn’t force the Leeds Rhinos captain out of Saturday’s Challenge Cup semi-final.
“Any more than two games with his impeccable record would have been wrong,” Smith told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“We’re pleased that he’s back. We want them at their best and we want to be better.
“It (the punishment) was adequate. Kev had a brain explosion there and it shows that he’s a human being, just like all of us.
“Everyone knows I admire him greatly and I think most people in sport do. He plays fairly but he snapped.”
