Special game at Featherstone confirmed

GRASSROOTS Rugby League fans will be able to support two deserving charities on Saturday (10 November) when a ground-breaking Touch Rugby match will be staged at the LD Nutrition Stadium, Post Office Road, Featherstone.

Team Colostomy UK and the Physical Disability Rugby League United side will go head-to-head at noon, and admission is free, although spectators will have the opportunity to make donations to Colostomy Awareness and the Poppy Appeal.

The game will be followed by a social event which will include talks by Dan Roberts on Physical Disability Rugby, Darren Dean on mental health awareness and Jo Phillips on Her Rugby League.

Emma Kirke, meanwhile, will discuss sports nutrition and recovery, and Giovanni Cinque will outline the aims of Colostomy UK.
