Thaler to officiate Featherstone’s game with Bradford

Ben Thaler has been appointed as the referee for Sunday’s crucially important Championship fixture between Featherstone and Bradford.

Thaler, who took charge of last year’s Challenge Cup Final, Grand Final and two of the Test matches between England and New Zealand, has been trusted to take control of the game that is being billed as the ‘half a million pound game’.

The winner of the game between the two West Yorkshire clubs will make the Qualifiers, however the team that loses will definitely miss out.

James Child has returned to Super League after being assigned to take charge of Featherstone’s victory over Halifax last week, officiating Widnes’ game with Catalans on Sunday.
