Tom Makinson’s match-winning try for St Helens against Leeds Rhinos last week has been voted as the best four-pointer of the month by Super League viewers.
It is hard to argue with the award – the try not only had a huge influence on the result, it also involved superb skill, teamwork and timing. In truth, Makinson’s finish was a bit of an anti-climax given his superb score just minutes prior (which, incidentally came third in the list), but clever kicks from Lance Hohaia and Jonny Lomax more than made up for it.
