Toronto linked with marquee move for Cronulla ace

Toronto Wolfpack have signed Cronulla Sharks centre Ricky Leutele, according to reports in Australia.

According to Australian journalist Josh Massoud, the 28-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with the Wolfpack worth in excess of $1 million.

Leutele has been a key performer for the Sharks and has been linked with a big-money move to several NRL clubs.

But it appears the ambitious Wolfpack have secured his services for 2019, a massive coup for the Championship side.

The Wolfpack already have plenty of cover at centre, with Greg Worthington, Chase Stanley and Nick Rawsthorne.

However, it would appear that hasn’t stopped the Canadian club from bolstering their ranks further, with the impressive capture of Leutele.

Should the $1 million be accurate, it would make Leutele Toronto’s second marquee player, alongside Darcy Lussick. He would earn around £280,000 per season.
