Toronto sign former Huddersfield forward

Toronto Wolfpack have signed former Huddersfield and Featherstone Rovers back-row Shaun Pick.

Pick joins the club after a two-year drugs ban during his stint at Rovers, after he tested positive for the anabolic steroid oxymetholone.

He was banned until December of this year, but having served his suspension has now been given the opportunity to kickstart his career with the Wolfpack.

“I welcome Shaun to the Pack,” said head coach Paul Rowley.

“He plays middle or edge to a very high standard, and although still young he has always been involved in high-achieving environments. In speaking to Shaun, he committed to making this a positive experience and taking this opportunity with both hands.

“Our staff did our homework on Shaun as with all our players to make sure we got our man with a clear focus on achieving our goals. The staff and I look forward to working with this young man, and providing clear and honest guidance, which will see him realise the huge potential he has.”
