Toronto sign London forward Bussey

Toronto’s raid of the Kingstone Press Championship has continued, after completing the signing of Jack Bussey from London.

Bussey, who joined the Broncos from Featherstone for the beginning of the 2015 season, joins the likes of Jonny Pownall, Liam Kay and Andrew Dixon from Leigh while Dan Fleming has also joined the club from Bradford.

Bussey said: “I’m excited to be making history joining the first transatlantic professional club and first professional Canadian rugby team. It was too good of an opportunity for me to turn down.”

Head coach Paul Rowley added: “Jack is another very strong addition to the squad. He has proved very versatile at his previous two clubs playing in all the forward positions and also at half back. We envisage a middle role for Jack with a element freedom to express himself and utilise his skill set. He has been a high achiever for several seasons, and joins the Wolfpack with a winning mentality, and high expectations. The staff and I are very keen to challenge Jack and bring out the best in him.”
