Two players ruled out of Super 8s with bans

Two players, one from Super League and one from The Qualifiers, will miss the remainder of the Super 8s competition after being banned on Tuesday night by the RFL’s disciplinary panel.

Taulima Tautai of Wigan Warriors has been banned for three matches for making a Grade D dangerous throw on Hull FC player Mickey Paea in the 74th minute of the Super League match between the teams which was played last Friday.

Tautai, who pleaded guilty, was also fined £300.

Jamie Acton of Leigh Centurions has also been suspended by the panel, and he will miss for matches and has been fined £100 after being found guilty of Grade C striking with the knees on Halifax’s Richard Moore in the 68th minute of a Qualifiers Super 8s fixture played on Sunday September 13.

The following players have lost the right to submit Early Guilty Pleas for 12 months after submitting EGPs to offences committed last week:

Kyle Kesik (Doncaster) – Grade A foul language v Hunslet Hawks;

Louis Robinson (London Skolars) – Grade A striking with the head v Coventry Bears.
