Ulugia impresses at training, could make debut this week

New Hull KR signing Wayne Ulugia could make his Super League debut this weekend after impressing coach Craig Sandercock at training.

The 21-year-old former North Queensland Cowboys utility back joined the Robins on an 18-month deal earlier this month and, according to the Hull Daily Mail, pushed Greg Eden down to third-choice full-back after the 23-year-old made two costly errors against Catalan Dragons last week. Soon after, Eden was loaned to Salford and his future with Hull KR remains in doubt.

Barring injury, reports suggest Ulugia is expected to be named in the Rovers’ 19-man squad for the visit of Widnes Vikings this Sunday.
