Kyle Wood has admitted that it is difficult not to focus on the league table as Huddersfield look for a miraculous escape from the bottom four, but ensuring performances are perfect is the most vital focus.
After defeating Hull FC last week, Huddersfield can still make the top eight if they win their remaining matches, and one of Wakefield or Castleford lose their three remaining matches.
The Giants are looking to back up their shock victory over the league leaders on Friday when they take on James Webster’s Rovers, who are in the same position as Huddersfield in their quest to get out of the bottom four.
While Wood admits that being in the bottom four wouldn’t be ideal, putting together three performances would put them in a great position should they end up fighting for Super League survival in the Qualifiers.
