Wakefield land Morris from London on one-year deal

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have announced the signing of London Broncos back Sean Morris on a one-year deal.

Morris has joined the Wildcats on a deal from the Championship side which will see him at the club until the end of 2016. He has predominantly featured as centre for the Broncos this year but can also play on the wing or full-back.

The 26-year-old started his playing career at League 1 side Oxford RL, before going on trial at the Broncos in 2014. He impressed former London head coach Joe Grima to earn himself a deal at the Championship side in March this year. Throughout his two stints at the Broncos Morris has made seven appearances scoring six tries.

Morris has spoken about his delight at joining the Wildcats, saying: “ It is a really exciting opportunity, particularly because I am stepping up from the Championship to the Super League.

“Joining the set up here at Wakefield with Brian (Smith) as a coach will be great. I am fairly new to Rugby League, so I think my drive and willingness to learn and to improve is a good attitude to have and will help me grow as a player and I look forward to pulling on the jersey.”
