Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have been dealt a blow for their remaining Super League games, after prop Nick Scruton was ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury.
Scruton has been in excellent form for the Wildcats since joining from Bradford Bulls earlier this season, and has helped steer the Wildcats away from relegation trouble with some superb performances.
However, the Wildcats official Twitter feed sent the following out this lunchtime: “Prop @scrutsy has undergone an operation on his thumb this lunchtime which rules him out for the remainder of 2014. ”
