Warrington announce Karl Fitzpatrick as new CEO

Warrington Wolves have announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with Karl Fitzpatrick, who is currently Head of Rugby Operations, taking charge.

He will take up the new role from 1st January 2017.  Karl brings his skills and knowledge as a professional player for 12 years with international honours together with his experience as a professional sports administrator and leader for the past 6 years to lead our successful and forward thinking club.

Fitzpatrick said: “It is a privilege and honour to be promoted into this position. Based on a philosophy of continuous improvement and actively listening to our sponsors and supporters I will be part of a great team that will proceed to enhance the Warrington brand. In recent years there has been positive momentum gained both off and on the pitch it is important this is maintained. I’m also looking forward to continue working with one of the best managers in the game, Tony Smith. I’d like to thank Simon (Moran) and his Board of Directors for providing this opportunity.”

Warrington’s Steven Broomhead said: “The Board are very pleased to appoint Karl, as he brings with him a rich experience in the sport.  It is good to appoint an individual who has invested so strongly in his own personal development and that of others.  We are certain that Karl with build on the positive momentum we have established at the Wolves in the past couple of years”.
