Castleford Tigers v Catalans Dragons – Luke Dorn
Luke Dorn was at his majestic best all afternoon.
Two well-taken tries were just a small part in this performance.
Hull FC v Leeds Rhinos – Kallum Watkins
Watkins came back to form with a bang, and his two late tries won the game for Leeds.
It hasn’t been the best year for the England centre, but he put in a performance that was close to his best on Friday.
Hull KR v Huddersfield Giants – Ben Cockayne
Cockayne’s return has made Rovers more assured defensively, and his goalkicking proved to be the difference.
He’ll be a key player for Rovers following the league split
St Helens v Widnes Vikings – James Roby
The star hooker was influential for a second conscutive week.
After masterminding a victory over Wakefield the week previous, Roby was eager and lively in his 400th game.
Warrington Wolves v Salford Red Devils – Joe Westerman
Westerman has gradually improved ever since making the move to the Wolves at the start of the season.
But this was perhaps his best performances in primrose and blue as he took the game to Salford throughout.
He was rewarded with two tries and was unfortunate not to get a hat-trick.
Wigan Warriors v Wakefield Wildcats – George Williams
Perhaps the most vital cog in Wigan’s machine.
The young stand-off was brilliant with the ball and caused Wakefield all sorts of problems throughout, providing a perfect kick for Lewis Tierney’s last-gasp try.
