Huddersfield Giants skipper Danny Brough has pulled no punches ahead of tonight’s huge Super League clash with Wigan Warriors, claiming that the team let people down during their heavy defeat against St Helens.
The Giants host last year’s defending champions in a mouthwatering televised clash this evening, and with the Giants keen to keep up the pace with the top four, Brough admits that his side simply have to react in a positive manner in order to bounce back.
“We felt like we let a lot of people down with our performance against St Helens,” admitted Brough.
“Nothing went right and we got exactly what we deserved. Thankfully, we’ve got the chance to put that right tonight against another top-four side in Wigan.
“We know we have to show a reaction to the poor showing we offered last week and, as a group, we’re determined to make that happen.
“Our season so far has been inconsistent, patchy and maybe a bit disappointing, but we’re still in the mix and there’s a lot of rugby to be played, which can only be a positive given how much we can improve.”
