WHITEHAVEN have paid tribute to former chairman, director and team manager Des Byrne following his death aged 72.
In a statement, the club of whom he was a lifelong supporter said: "All at and associated with Whitehaven RLFC would like to send out deepest condolences to the Byrne family.
