Wigan Warriors marked Ben Flower’s return to Rugby League by defeating Warrington 30-20 in a thouroughly entertaining clash at the DW Stadium.
On a night where the Warriors confirmed Sam Tomkins would return to the club for 2016 in a £200,000 deal, the return of Flower also grabbed the headlines as Wigan solidified third on the Super League table.
The lead changed hands six times throughout on a remarkable night of action and headlines, with Wigan claiming the spoils courtesy of a second consecutive Super League hat-trick for Dom Manfredi.
Leading 16-14 at the break, Warrington led early in the second half courtesy of a Ben Currie try, but from there on, Wigan took control.
Anthony Gelling crossed to put Wigan back in front, before two tries from Manfredi to complete his trio secured a vital win for the Warriors.
