Wigan Warriors youngster Rhodri Lloyd has joined Whitehaven on a one-month loan deal.
The Welsh international will head to Cumbria for what the Warriors describe as more “career development”, after a recent spell out on loan at Swinton Lions. During that time with the League 1 side, he played four matches and scored three tries.
The 21-year-old has experience at senior level with the Warriors, having made five appearances before switching on loan to Widnes in 2014. However, that loan deal was cut short after he suffered a horrific knee injury which cut his season short.
Whitehaven currently sit 11th in the Championship having won just one of their opening five games.
