WELL-KNOWN referee Stuart Evans has passed away after a short illness.
Mr Evans, who was 68, died on Thursday 17 November.
In addition to officiating at grass roots level, he was also an active PRO for the York Referees' Society and for the York & District Amateur Rugby League. He had also been voted, last year, on to the BARLA Board ofYork RL community in mourning for Stuart Evans
